As part of its efforts to improve how ad business works Google in 2018, using manual reviews and machine learning, removed 2.3 billion ‘bad ads’ that violated its policies which generally forbid ads that mislead or exploit vulnerable people. Along with that, Google now pinpoints and shuts down sites that violate policies and also profit from using its ad network. They even removed ads from 1.5 million apps last year.
