Sweden's advertising ombudsman has ruled the widely shared 'Distracted Boyfriend' meme, a stock image by Antonio Guillem that was named meme of the year in April, as sexist and gender-discriminatory, calling it objectification of women. The meme was used in a recruitment advertisement, where the two women were labelled as different companies, 'giving the impression that men can change female partners like jobs'.
