Andaman and Nicobar Islands struck by earthquake of magnitude 5.2

Andaman and Nicobar Islands got struck by an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 on the Richter scale on Friday. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the earthquake struck near Campbell Bay on the island. The tremors were felt around 8:35 pm at the depth of 63 kilometres. The islands have witnessed several earthquakes in the past few months. An earthquake of magnitude 3.9 had hit the islands on September 22.
