EU mobile operators may face a loss of 55 billion Euros due to the ban of Huawei and ZTE from Europe's roll-out of 5G telecom. It would also delay in getting the next generation 5G network to customers for up to 18 months along with increasing costs. Huawei and ZTE account for 40% of the EU market and their rivals Ericsson, Samsung and Nokia cannot handle the shift from 3G to 4G and further to 5G in Europe.
