Licence not required for Netflix, Amazon, says govt to High Court

Good news for Netflix, Amazon & other such OTT platforms like Hotstar, ALT Balaji, etc. The Indian govt has announced that they don't need a licence to run their shows. The content on such platforms is not managed by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. A petition was filed claiming that the content was inappropriate, sexually explicit, religiously forbidden & illegal. But, it was dismissed until new regulations are formed.
