No faith on official data: Economists create their own benchmark

Economists and investors are making it clear that they have little faith in India's official economic data. Indian government itself has acknowledged that there are deficiencies in the data collection. Many of the investors and economists were shocked at the inaccuracy of the govt provided data. So much so that they are now creating their own benchmarks and alternative data sources to measure the Indian economy.
