Trade community suffers estimated loss of Rs.1,000 crore per week in Srinagar

Since the center abrogated provisions of Article 370 and divided Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories, the trade community has taken a massive hit as Srinagar has suffered an estimated loss of Rs.1,000 crore per week. A member of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry has stated that life has come to a standstill since the restrictions were imposed, where bakeries and livestock dealers have been the worst hit.
