Uber picks Melbourne as its first international site to test its flying taxi service

Uber Technologies has selected Australia’s second-largest city, Melbourne, as its first international spot to test its flying taxi service. The U.S. ride-hailing giant earlier picked Dubai as the first test spot outside the US for its UberAIR service but then reopened its request for proposals last month after the launch was delayed in the Middle Eastern city. Uber said it would begin test flights in 2020.
