Chinese smartphone company Gionee, which owes nearly $2.9 billion to 648 creditors, has declared bankruptcy. As major creditors have filed lawsuits against Gionee, a Shenzhen court has accepted its bankruptcy application for liquidation bankruptcy by Huaxing Bank.
