According to a report by the Child Poverty Action Group, the continuing coronavirus pandemic has put over 18,000 children in New Zealand into poverty. New Zealand was able to defeat coronavirus far faster than the rest of the globe, but the epidemic had a particularly detrimental impact on Mori and Pasifika children. Ardern, on the other hand, claims that no previous administration has been able to do more to combat child poverty than this one.
