Ambulances asked to mute sirens in Manipur to counter rising Covid-19 anxiety

In a bid to fight the rising cases of Covid-19 anxiety in the state, the Manipur government has ordered ambulances across the state to mute sirens. The decision has been taken to reduce anxiety and panic caused by the coronavirus pandemic. "Only if roads are blocked, sirens should be activated," the state's medical directorate urged chief medical officers, medical superintendents and ambulance operators in a memorandum.
