As Lebanese politicians jump line to get Covid vaccines, World Bank threatens to cut funding for vaccination

After local media and Lebanese citizens claimed that several lawmakers in the country were jumping lines to get vaccinated against Covid in parliament even as vulnerable groups struggle to get the jabs, World Bank has threatened to cut its funding for the vaccination. "Upon confirmation of violation, World Bank may suspend financing for vaccines and support for COVID-19 response," said regional director Saroj Kumar Jha.
