Bangladesh goes under strict lockdown until further notice

The Bangladesh government on Friday announced a strict lockdown across the country in view of coronavirus. The lockdown will remain until further notice. The decision was taken after India's eastern neighbour recorded 108 deaths from coronavirus, the second-highest single-day toll since the pandemic's outbreak. "Other than emergency services, all government and private offices will remain closed," the government order read.
