Chinese 'bat woman' Shi Zhengli says new Covid-19 variants will continue to emerge

China's virologist Shi Zhengli, who is also known as "bat woman" has said that new variants of Covid-19 "will continue to emerge". The virologist who heads the Wuhan Lab said the virus had "become too big" which allowed it to "mutate and select". Zhengli also urged people to get vaccinated. "We shouldn't panic, but we need to prepare to co-exist with the virus in the long term," the virologist said.
