In a dramatic move, the Bihar government revised its Covid-19 death toll to more than 9,000 in comparison to the previous record of just 1,600. The revised records show that as many as 7,775 people died due to Covid-19 in the state between April to June 7 this year. The death toll was revised after Patna High Court ordered the government for an audit of casualties in the April-May second surge of Covid.
