Covid fear looms over Tokyo Olympics, first case registered in athletes' village

Just six days ahead of the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics, the first Covid case has been registered in the athletes' village. According to Tokyo 2020 CEO Toshiro Muto, a foreign visitor involved in organising the Games contracted the disease. "We are doing everything to prevent any Covid outbreaks. If we end up with an outbreak we will make sure we have a plan in place to respond," chief organiser Seiko Hashimoto said.
