The World Health Organisation has called for an adequate supply of Covid-19 vaccine doses to poorer countries. Covid pandemic will “easily drag on deep into 2022” if poorer nations do not get the required vaccines, WHO said. In Africa, less than 5 percent of the population has received the vaccine doses against the global average of 40%. The UN health body has urged developed countries to give up their places to help poorer nations.
