Despite strict restrictions and setting up containment zones, Covid-19 cases have managed to breach the 1 lakh mark in Australia. According to the figures updated by the department of health, there were 99,032 confirmed cases as of Monday afternoon. Over 1,700 locally transmitted cases were reported across Australia on Tuesday. New South Wales alone reported 863 new cases and seven deaths in the last 24 hours.
