The coronavirus lockdown in Kerala appears to be bearing no fruits as the Covid-related deaths in the state have increased by 149%. The state reported 488 deaths and recorded 2,67,002 fresh Covid cases between May 5-12 despite being under complete lockdown. Health experts have warned that the increase in death cases is related to the decrease in testing. The testing in the state has been reduced by 22% last week.
