European Union inks agreement with Novavax for up to 200 million Covid vaccine doses

The European Commission has signed an Advanced Purchase Agreement with US pharma giant Novavax for 200 million doses of Covid vaccine in the fourth quarter of 2021. "Member states will also be able to donate vaccines to lower and middle-income countries or to re-direct them to other European countries. Today's contract complements an already broad portfolio of vaccines to be produced in Europe," the Commission said.
