The World Health Organisation has warned about the spread of the highly contagious delta variant of coronavirus while adding that it is the fastest and fittest coronavirus strain yet. The global health body further added that the variant will “pick off” the most vulnerable people. Dr. Mike Ryan, the executive director of WHO's health-emergencies program said the variant is "more efficient in the way it transmits between humans."
