How India's daily Covid death count climbed to 3,998 from 374 a day before

When the Union Ministry of Health released the daily Covid cases and deaths figure, it was shocking to see the daily covid death toll at 3,998. It was a huge surge from the 374 fatalities recorded a day earlier. However, it was later told that the huge spike in the daily death toll was because Maharashtra revised its data to add 3,509 Covid deaths. From the rest of the country, 489 new deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.
