India logs 2,628 new covid cases, 18 deaths in last 24 hours

India saw a single day rise of 2,628 new coronavirus infections on Thursday, taking the infection tally to 4,31,44,820, according to the Union health ministry data. With this the active cases in the country increased to 15,414. India’s Covid-19 death toll climbed to 5,24,525 with 18 more fatalities today. An increase of 443 cases has been recorded in the active Covid-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.
