India records 18,795 fresh Covid-19 cases, 179 deaths in last 24 hours

For the first time since March 11, India recorded less than 20,000 daily Covid-19 cases. The country registered 18,795 fresh cases and 179 deaths in the last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate in the country stands at 1.42 percent. Kerala, the worst affected state recorded 11,699 fresh cases in the last 24 hours. With 1,846 cases, Mizoram is the only state in the northeast that's struggling to contain the spread of Covid.
