India records 18,987 fresh Covid-19 cases, 246 deaths in last 24 hours

India recorded as many as 18,987 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the total caseload to 34,020,730. The country also recorded 246 Covid-related deaths in the same time period, pushing the death toll in the country to 4,51,435. The recovery rate in India has improved to 98.07 percent with daily cases remaining below 30,000 for the past 20 days. The active caseload in the country stands at 2,06,586.
