India records 19,740 fresh Covid-19 cases, 248 deaths in last 24 hours

India recorded as many as 19,740 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, a seven percent decline from a day earlier. The country recorded 248 deaths in the same time period. The active cases in the country stand at 2,36,643. More than 23,070 patients recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours, pushing the total recoveries to 3,32,48,291. The daily positivity rate in India stands at 1.56 percent.
