India records 20,799 fresh Covid cases, 180 deaths in last 24 hours

India recorded as many as 20,799 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, a decline of nearly nine percent from yesterday's 22,842 cases. 180 people lost their lives in the same time period, whereas the active cases stood at 2,64,458, the lowest in 200 days. With more than 26,718 patients recovering from the infection in the last 24 hours, pushing the national recovery rate in the country to 97.89 percent.
