India records 27,254 fresh Covid-19 cases, 219 deaths in last 24 hours

India recorded as many as 27,254 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total caseload to 33,264,175, as reported by the Union ministry of health and family welfare. The death toll in the country climbed to 442,874 with 219 fatalities in the last 24 hours and comprises 1.33% of the overall caseload. 37,687 patients were discharged from hospitals in the same time period, taking the total recoveries to 32,447,032.
