India records 35,662 fresh Covid-19 cases, 281 deaths in last 24 hours

India witnessed a significant surge in daily Covid cases in the last 24 hours even as more than 2.5 crore vaccine doses were administered across the country. As many as 35,662 fresh cases were recorded in the country, taking the total caseload to 3,34,17,390. The death toll in the country climbed to 4,44,529 with 281 fatalities in the same time period. As many as 33,798 patients successfully recovered in the same time period.
