India records 42,982 fresh Covid-19 infections, 533 deaths in the last 24 hours

India recorded as many as 42,982 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total caseload to over 3.2 crores. As many as 533 people lost their lives in the same time period, taking the total death toll to 4,26,920. The active cases in the country stand at 4,10,353 and account for 1.29% of the total infections. The recovery rate has improved to 97.37 percent with over 41,000 recoveries in the last 24 hours.
