As health authorities across the world mull over providing a third booster shot of the Covid vaccine for better immunity, Israel has already started administering booster shots to Israelis aged 50 and over starting Friday. "This is an important step in the fight against the Delta pandemic," Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said. Israel has inked a deal with Pfizer to receive millions of doses for the booster shots.
