Lockdown in Tamil Nadu extended till June 14 with some relaxations

The Tamil Nadu government has extended the lockdown imposed in the state to curb the Covid-19 outbreak, by another week till June 14. However, the lockdown will now be in place with some restrictions. The state registered 22,651 new Covid-19 cases and 463 deaths in the last 24 hours. Restrictions will not be eased in 11 districts including Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, Thanjavur and Thiruvarur.
