Middle East struggles with fourth wave of Covid-19 due to Delta variant spread

The World Health Organization has said that the highly contagious Delta variant of Covid-19 has triggered the fourth wave in the middle east. "The rapid spread of the Delta variant across the Eastern Mediterranean Region and all other WHO regions is a major cause for concern," said Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, WHO regional director for the eastern Mediterranean. Dr. Mandhari said the entire region is battling the fourth wave.
