Mumbai has reported its first death due to the highly contagious Delta Plus variant of Covid-19 amid a fresh surge in Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra. The victim, a 63-year-old woman, had tested positive on July 21 and she passed away on July 27. This is the second death in Maharashtra due to the Delta plus variant. The woman who died due to the Delta plus variant in Mumbai was fully vaccinated and didn't have any travel history.
