Over 1,000 bank employees have lost their lives due to Covid

S Nagarajan, the general secretary of the All India Bank Officers' Association, said that banks in India have lost more than 1,000 employees to coronavirus. Nagarajan further said that many more employees are down with Covid-19. "Bank employees are frontline workers and the virus is affecting them," he said. All India Bank Employees Association general secretary, C.H. Venkatachalam said 1200 bank employees have died due to Covid.
