The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) has revealed that adults aging 65 or more, who have been vaccinated against Covid, are 94% less likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky referred to the study results as "encouraging". United States has already vaccinated two-thirds of its elderly population. Walensky said the vaccines are "highly effective" in preventing hospitalisations.
