After the South African authorities decided not to use the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine because it was not effective against a new variant, the Serum Institute of India has fully refunded the country for the 500,000 undelivered doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. "I want to clarify this quite clearly, as this now closes the matter of the AstraZeneca vaccine," Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said during a media briefing.
