A 90-year-old Belgian woman who died after contracting COVID-19 was found to have been infected with both the Alpha and Beta strains at the same time. Her oxygen levels were OK at first. Her condition, however, worsened and she died a few days later. According to the experts, it was impossible to tell if the co-infection contributed to the patient's rapid decline.“Unfortunately, we don't know how she became co-infected,” doctors said.
