South Korean PM announces fresh restrictions amid fourth wave of Covid

The South Korean government has decided to impose a ban on nightclubs, karaoke bars and other nightly entertainment facilities amid a fresh surge in Covid cases in the country. "Signs of a fourth wave of epidemics that we had so striven to head off are drawing nearer and becoming stronger," Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun said while re-imposing the restrictions. 671 new cases were reported in the country on Thursday.
