State of emergency to be partially lifted in Japan

The state of emergency that was imposed in Japan in view of the coronavirus pandemic, is going to be partially lifted by the government at a time when Tokyo Olympics is barely five months away. 10 regions including Tokyo are currently under emergency restrictions. The restrictions will be ended on March 7 in nearly all the regions. The decision comes after requests from several prefectures to lift the state of emergency.
