According to a new study from the United Kingdom, trained canines show excellent levels of accuracy when it comes to sniffing the peculiar odor of persons infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which produces COVID-19. The dogs in the research were able to identify odors from both asymptomatic and symptomatic people, including those infected with two distinct COVID-19 strains and with both high and low viral loads.
