West Bengal scientists develop first indigenous testing kit for black fungus

A group of scientists in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district has developed the country's first indigenous testing kit for the detection of mucormycosis or black fungus. The kit named DiAGSure Mucormycosis Detection Kit may prove to be a cheaper alternative to expensive imported kits. "The goal is to provide the best quality testing kit at an extremely affordable price," said Raja Majumdar, the managing director of GCC Biotech.
