World is in “a very dangerous period”: WHO Chief on discovery of Delta Covid variant in 100 countries

World Health Organisation Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus expressed concerns over the discovery of the highly contagious Delta Covid variant in over 100 countries across the world. Ghebreyesus said the world is in “a very dangerous period” of the Covid-19 pandemic. “I have already urged leaders across the world to ensure that by this time next year, 70% of all people in every country are vaccinated," he said.
