As India administered 100 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses, the WHO lauded it for achieving the "extraordinary feat". “This extraordinary feat of administering a billion doses wouldn’t have been possible without a strong political leadership, intersectional convergence, dedicated efforts of the entire health and frontline workforce and the people themselves," said South-East Asia’s regional director Poonam Khetrapal Singh.
