Out of 598 cases against MPs and MLAs only 38 resulted in conviction

After being ordered by the SC, the Central Govt. compiled a data which says that out of 598 cases against the MPs and MLAs 38 resulted in conviction and in the remaining cases the accused were not found guilty. This means 6.35% of cases resulted in a conviction. 10 convicts were from Odisha and 8 were from Kerala from March till now. While Bihar, a state with most criminal cases pending against MLAs and MPs saw no conviction.
