Karnataka to set up 600 all-women polling booths to ensure their participation

Between April 18th to 23rd, out of 58,186 polling booths in Karnataka, 600 polling booths will be managed completely by women. These 600 booths will have women as security personnel, polling staff, and police. Though this initiative has been taken to ensure and increase the participation of the women in the electoral process, the women candidates are demanding for 50% seats reserved for them.
