Facebook, Google, and Twitter have refused to share the details of their correspondence with the EC with RTI applicants, stating privacy issues. The results of the LS polls are set to be announced on Thursday and it was on the shoulders of social platforms to prevent the spread of misinformation about political parties. RTI sought details of correspondence b/w social media firms & the EC over content takedown requests.
