Union Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot is appointed as Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha. He will be taking over from Arun Jaitley, who has health issues & currently recovering and has opted out of Modi 2.0 government due to ill-health. 71-year-old Gehlot, the social justice & empowerment minister, has 4 decades of legislative experience. He is also a part of the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary affairs.
