A man was charged Rs.1700 for two boiled eggs in a hotel in Mumbai. The bill picture, when tweeted by the customer earned hilarious comments. Such as, "The chicken might be from a very rich family" or "Did the hen gave gold along with the eggs." This went viral throughout the internet. On seeing this, the Excise and Taxation department levied a fine of Rs.20000 on the hotel owners for illegal collection of tax on an exempted item.
