Apple looking for Oscar-worthy films for its streaming service

Apple wants to produce Oscar-worthy feature films to match the recent success of Netflix Original ‘Roma’ which bagged 3 Academy Awards this year, including the Best Director. Talks are already on with Steven Spielberg, Reese Witherspoon, and La La Land director Damien Chazelle. Apple has a planned budget of $5-$30 million for each project. Interestingly, Apple will soon launch its streaming service Apple TV Plus.
